Whip cream for breakfast

This kid is a ham! He opened the fridge, pulled out 2 containers of whip cream, strawberries and blueberries and went to town.... On the whip cream he opened himself. Did not eat any of the fruit.
I did get him over to the table with a plate of fruit hoping he'd have some with his whip cream. No luck. Not that I blame him, cool whip is awesome. He loves to watch himself eat.

Big 4 bridge

We finally made it down to the new walking bridge in Louisville on Memorial Day. For those of you out of state, you can walk across the Ohio River over to Indiana. Indiana is slacking and hasn't finished their part- the off ramp to actually touch ground. I love all the bridges that cross the river. This one was an old train bridge that they refinished in to the walking bridge. I could have made that up but I think that's right.
Downtown Louisville
Looking for boats
This kid did not want to ride in his stroller. He did not want to walk. He just wanted to stop and look for boats.
Indiana in the background. I didn't go all the way to the end because P was wouldn't walk because he stopped for the millionth time to look at the boats

Glo Run

In May I did my first ever 5k. It wasnt "legit" in the sense of being timed or rankings- which is good since I did horrible. A group of dental wives made a team, Dental Divas, and we raced together. We even made shirts! It was super fun and I will be doing it next year, I might even drag Drew along.
The race didnt start until after it got dark. While we waited there was a dance party. We looked super awesome in our neon
super glad this girl came! She stayed with me running super slow. I ran more of the 5k than I probably would have thanks to Tami!
finished my first 5k!
post race.

I had strained my lower back a few weeks before so I really hadnt been able to train/run for awhile leading up to the race. I was proud of myself for completing the race and running for as much as I did. up to that point the furthest I had run was 2 miles. if you would have asked me even a year ago if I would ever been in a 5k let alone run in one, I would have laughed in your face. Look at me go! I've come a long way.

5 years

In May Drew and I hit our 5 year anniversary. I decided, much to Drews delight, that I wanted to go shooting for our anniversary. Weeks leading up to the 16th (our big day) I had been having all sorts of crazy home invasion dreams about whether I should run for Parker or run for a gun. Either way, I felt I needed to be more comfortable with Drews 9mm (the easy access gun) in case I needed to use it. So we decided to go down to my parents house because that would mean free babysitter and free shooting range. We like to take drews car on trips because its more spacious than mine so I was switching over the carseat and P was playing in the car. Because I'm super smart, I ended up locking Parker in the car. With the keys. fun fact: we only have ONE set to each car. Even better, it started POURING right after I realized he was locked in! but like a good mother, I stood out there the entire storm. It was seriously like right over head. Lightning, thunder. horrible! I did go in for an umbrella but I was still drenched from the FREEZING rain!
After about 20-30 minutes the storm lightened up and we were able to break into the car and get Parker out. P had a little bit of a blow out while in the car. Drew was sooo not happy about the situation. After he got super pissed at me, me telling him off for being so mad, and me taking some time to get over it we headed down to my parents (after I cleaned up the poo of course)
Apparently I'm a pretty good shot. And it was a good shooting trip, I'm ready now. So dont  come breaking into my house! you have been warned ;)

One morning my dad took me and Parker to Cain's Thoroughbred Training Center to watch the horse do their training. They were done by the time we got there but we were able to pet the horses.

Parker found a frog in my parents back yard. that poor frog was exhausted after all the attention it got. Parker even held it. He kept saying it was "grandmas special frog". He even asked about it while we were down there this last week.
There is always so much to do at grandma and papa's house. Here is a picture of some of the days activities.
And of course, you cant go to grandmas without getting treats. This was parkers first ice cream cone and he LOVED it!

Its hard to believe to believe we have hit 5 years together, its seems like we've always been together. Definitely have been through alot in those five years but we are closer than ever. We almost feel like we're redoing the 'newlywed stage' and its a million times better! Love you Drewwwwwy ;)

Little man is 2!

I figure I should probably finally post about Parkers birthday since it was 2 months ago! Mommy fail!

So the morning started with a quick run to walmart for balloons and party hats. Parker had been asking about them for his birthday so I couldnt let little man down. He was a little bit confused at first with the balloons in his bed (I threw them in after he woke up) but then he warmed up to them.
It took him a little bit but he figured out the party blower then he loved to do it!
Drew was off school for a few weeks during this time to study for boards so he got to play too.
I love this picture. he loves to watch himself in the mirrors.
The week before we went to the "new park", as Parker likes to call it, so we decided to go with Daddy so he could see how cool it is.
soo was not the plan to play at the splash pad part. P was checking it out and got shot with water in the chest so clearly it meant he was free to play

Later that day we just had the dental students out to the park for cupcakes.

I love my little stinker! I cant believe he's two already! that kid is a talking machine too! Its up to like 5-6 word sentences. not perfect grammar or anything, he still leaves our filler words here and there (ie is, did, in, come, with, etc-- Papa's red tractor garage. Parker play yellow monster truck.) but he sure remembers everything though and loves to tell me past events or highlights of the day. We love this boy sooo much. He always keeps us laughing.
