Warmer weather

We are finally starting to get some warmer weather here in good 'ole Kentucky. which is weird to say since its not so warm today. Anyway, with this warm weather, we've have been trying to spend a lot of time outside at the park.
P needed some time to get reacquainted with the sand
I have no idea who's lawnmower this was but Parker sure liked it. Thats a plus to living by ppl with kids, someone always brings a "new toy" to the park and the other kids LOVE it!
One day we went to Old Navy to get P some flip flops. The ladies loved him so much they let him pick out a balloon. yes, he did pick out the purple one.
he loved it so much. sadly it popped shortly after the picture has he walked up a little hill to the park.
chatting with his girlfriend Paisley
They totally posed themselves for the picture. don't they look so cute in their matching blue.

The next day I took P to feed the ducks at Long Run Park. He totally remembered what do to. He grabbed bread and was yelling, "duuuuckies! bread!! duuuuckies!" He would break off pieces and throw it to them.
doesnt he looks soo grow up here?!
We found some other ducks at a different park of the pond but they were too cool for us.
Parker got pretty close but they refused to eat the bread.

Cabela's has come to Louisville. We thought we'd get crazy and go opening day. It really wasnt tooo busy but we did have to park a little ways away in the grass, which made it not so fun when we left and it was raining.
of course his favorite part was the fishies
trying to make out with the fish
at one point he layed down on that ridge and said "night night"
little ham! (his last day with this long of hair)

so there arent too many dental student kids that are boys at our complex. and the ones we do have LOVE superheros. I mean loooove! they have masks, capes, swords, shields, whatever accessory goes with the superheros. Sunday P tried on one of the masks. he thought it was pretty funny. He just kept sayin "Parper ba-man"
Later that night we went to a friends bday get together for snocones.
Parker found this chair and just loved it! We have adult size ones we take to the park so I think he just liked it was his size.
He sat in it any chance he could. eating his little snocone.

He even tried on a birthday hat.
This kid loves the park now! We stopped at the Berrytown park on the way home from the gym one day and he just loved this thing. I posted this picture on IG and Drew's friend said "you name a kid parker and of course he's gonna like parks. Just be glad you didn't name him Guy.." oh JT, you kill me

Henry's Ark

Last Saturday, I believe it was, we took a little family trip to discover a gem of Louisville. Its a free, non-profit zoo called Henry's ark. You know the movie - We bought a zoo? Yeah its not really like that at all. Most of the animals are kind of farm animals: goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits. There were a couple llamas, a camel, an ostrich, some Emus, deer, maybe bison off in a field, and maybe a water buffalo? Most of the animals had holdings close to eachother and the owners just kept the gates open between them so the animals mixed, minus a few. But one thing we did really like was that you could feed the animals. I bought a 2 lb bag of carrots just for the trip. I'll bring more for next time because those deer sure can eat.

the goats would just come up to the fence and put their front legs on it waiting for food.
P watching some kids feed the goats.
I cant remember for sure, but this guy didnt have like any teeth. It really wanted the carrot though. Drew was worried he'd choke.
checking out one of many free range roosters
checking out some geese
well hello there minster camel. this guy was tall!
see what I mean about standing on the fence?
P got brave enough to feed the goats. He thought it was pretty funny. this carrot was actually for the tan goat, but the brown one stole it.
feeding the camel
P finds joy in everything, even this garbage can wheel. haha
petting a sleeping bunny
for some reason when we were at the deer, Parker kept wanted to poke them
they had the nicest deer!
another joy Parker found. an empty kiddy pool. he loved it!
this was probably his  favorite thing at Henrys ark, this lawn cement frog. He just bounced on it saying ribbit ribbit. It made it quite the hot commodity for other kids. he cried when we went to see more animals and he couldnt sit on it anymore.
these donkeys where out by the parking lot. P mooched some bread off a lady and started feeding the donkeys.
he gave his entire first slice to the donkey. the next slice he was pulling apart and feeding it to them.
he was pretty brave

I'm strugglin'

So spring (wanna be summer) has finally hit Louisville. It's killing me. Yes I love the sunshine and warmer weather and pretty flowers that are slowly blooming. But this mess is bad on my health!! Holy smokes! It started with kind of a scratchy throat over the weekend. I figured it was just drainage and blew it off. Saturday we spent tons of time outside and I was sneezing like crazy. My eyes were watering. Horrible! Sunday these allergies tried to move into my sinuses. Blocked for the most part by sudafed. But now im hacking all the time with no stinking relief which is killing my throat and makes for not so soothing sleep. Also Sunday I had lovely woman problems hit too! Oh I forgot to mention I went to this intense yoga class Friday afternoon and woke up on Saturday dreading getting out of bed because my whole body hurt. I'm not joking, it hurt to even roll over. Most of those pains are about gone but I'm still suffering from made sacrum pain! No idea why. Well I have a guess...holding my almost 30 pound basically two yr old way too much. And trust me, it's not by choice. And then today I'm pretty sure an ear infection has hit me. Oh yeah, i got impetigo today too from having to blow mu nose so much.So lets recap real fast shall we.
-stuffy/runny nose
-sinus drainage causing all sorts of problems
-coughing like a crazy person from all this snot but getting no relief
-impetigo from blowing my nose all the time
-ear infection
-horrible sacrum pain
-female issues

Hello spring. Can't we just get over meeting like this? Did I mention flowers are just now blooming? Anyone want to adopt p midday to take him to the park, idk if I can handle this anymore

Last week..

This is last week according to my phone.

I yet again rearranged the shelf above our couches.

After not going to the gym in weeks, P and I decided to get back into the groove. He's been moved up to the toddle room and he loves it! the workers tried him out one day and told me I could take him to which ever room I wanted, so I decided the toddler room. He was saying play! Play! PLAY! until they opened the gate for him to go in. Parker is so silly and doesnt easily forget. One day he was playing with a toy Woody and Dora and he had to leave them in the toddler room when we were leaving and was very heartbroken. he ran to me crying! He still brings up woody and dora. haha.

Playing in the lockers outside of the adventure center

Of course he had to drive before we could go home

Dancing to some music

For Easter this year we (I) decided to get Parker a big truck for his basket/gift. It was kind of a dual present to be used for his birthday since its a construction theme this year. We did the "basket" on Friday because Parker was with me when I picked it up and even cried when he had to take his nap because he had to leave the truck. As previously mentioned, this kid does not forget things so we couldnt really hide it and pull it out another day. His truck was full of sand toys: zoo animal molds (giraffe, lion, hippo, elephant) and a sand bucket set that had a rack, shovel, and sifter. He didnt seem quite as excited for all the other stuff, probably because he was with me when I bought it. Grandma R got him a mickey mouse coloring book with stickers that we threw in and a dinosaur bubble blower toy- but he had opened that already. He refers to this beast as Big Truck.

Our ward has an email group that is kind of like a craigslist- maybe, or not- anyway, I just so happened to be close to my phone when it dinged that I had a new email. A sister in the ward was giving away some toys and I was lucky enough to score a train set for P. Drew and I set it up Friday night to sort through pieces. P was a little overwhelmed by it. He destroyed most of it in one fit. So we boxed it all up but a few of the trains for when he's a little older.

Trying on daddy's "water glasses"

He thought it was comfy to sit in the box on top of the train set.

On Sunday we had our 2nd Annual Dental Family Easter Egg Hunt (totally made up that title btw) here at our complex. Drew ran P over to the far side of the courtyard area because there were alot of eggs together and maybe he could actually get some before the older kids got over there. This kid has a silly way of egg hunting. He likes to open the egg and look inside before going to the next egg. If he likes the candy he'll hold it and move on or try and eat it before he moves to the next one. Because of this Drew just threw in a couple eggs to his basket since he was taking forever. The area Drew took him had alot of the eggs with jelly beans. I guess he doesnt like jelly beans because when hed open one with them he would just shake them out then open another egg. hahaha. little stinker! Even after he had a full basket he still went to pick up more eggs. He had an opened sucker in his hand but found an egg with another sucker, so he left his on the ground and brought me the other one to open. I also found another pile of jelly beans too.

Parker had way too much candy. but I guess that was partially my fault since I let him have alot of it. But luckily its all gone. That kid was such a stinker from all that sugar!! Glad its all out of his system.
