March

"mom do exercises on the floor with me"
No idea who these kids are but P insisted on playing with them while he was out riding his bike. "Hey guys, what chu doin?"
just testing his balance on the icy snow
doesnt he look so peaceful
I had a follow up ultrasound to check my placenta placement at 28 weeks. it was a super cool ultrasound because I got to see Cove move so much. he totally looked like a full sized baby. I saw him suck his thumb. the last picture he was chewing on his hand. I never had an ultrasound that far along with parker so it was cool to see what he'll actually look like. and from comparisons, he'll look alot of P
I ordered P some clothes for spring break. just rockin the flipflops
handsome like dad. when he wears this shirt he'll walk around saying "handsome like daddy"
the week before spring break drew went to Belize for a dental trip. caught this gem while we were facetiming

we hit another spurt of nice weather so we met Cassie and Paisley at the zoo.
P's first time on the carousel
having too much fun on the swings
P likes to sit on this box in the gorilla exibit, while he was up there this gorilla came down from her upper ledge to check him out.
just enjoying some lunch. his face is too silly
watching the polar bear trying to hide her toy in a hole under water
the zoo totally wiped him out! I dont think we were even out of the parking lot before he fell asleep
where do you sneak off to to eat your junk food?
while at my parents for the week (while drew was in belize) we went to the store and P would pop his little foot out like this while trying on sunglasses. he did it for every pair
again did horrible napping at grandmas but he did fall asleep here at like 5pm cst

so this year for spring break we decided to actually go somewhere. We went with a couple friends down to Destin, Florida. everyone checked in on Saturday but drew didnt fly back in from Belize until like almost midnight saturday night. so we left sunday. it was rainy most of the way down but that didnt stop drew from flying! we stopped twice, only for gas and use the bathroom. we made it is 10 hours even. it was kind of interesting to see Alabama with so many evergreen trees. totally didnt expect it. but it was a welcome site to see spring had hit down south with green grass and blooming trees. like I said it had been raining so we really didnt miss much in Destin, the friends had just been inside. but we got there early enough (6pm florida time) that we walked across the street to the beach.
kind of a crazy pic of P and his friend carson

it was clearly dreary that night, it was still kind of raining. but P really liked it. he was dancing in the water. we had to pick him up to get him to leave. he just kept saying he needed to keep dancing. oh because of the stormy weather, there were alot of jellyfish on the beach. I saw them but didnt realize what they were. we all got a jellyfish review later that night as the boys looked up what kind they possibly were. luckily we didnt really see anymore the rest of the trip
Jayson reading the boys a super hero book early in the morning
P teaching his friend Lydia how to do his exercises. haha
Monday morning was still a little rainy so we decided to go to the Gulfquarium nearby. It was like right on the beach which was cool but alot of the exhibits were outside. even though they had some sort of covering over them to keep us from the rain, we were not dressed for the weather. it was actually kind of cold. Poor P was cold and getting wet from going from exhibit to exhibit. it was pretty cool but would have been better with better weather. and the big spectacle is the dolphin show but it was canceled because two of the dolphins were about to have babies any day. so that was a bummer but it made our admissions a little cheaper so that works.
so it stopped raining but was still a overcast but we decided to go to the beach anyway. Drew and Jayson bought skimboards so theyd have some entertainment for the week.
P getting his first lesson
Parker, Lydia, and Carson winding down that night with oatmeal creme pies and the movie Planes.
the next morning we went on a little walk just trying to kill time until it warmed up a little bit. The Christensen kids each had scooters which P thought were pretty cool. only carsons (the red one) not Lydias (the pink one) he preferred to just ride on it and have me or drew push him. He did pretty good when he actually did it considering it was his first time ever on a scooter
after it warmed up we went down to the beach. The floaty ended up being over kill because P didnt want to get in the water, just wanted to play on the sand. but he had to be cool like his friends and wear his
P decided he wanted to get buried. He really liked it. Drew gave him boobs and a penis. haha. when I saw the second part I told him not to and knocked it off. P got a little upset with me and told me not to knock off his penis and told Drew to make another one. after I knocked that one off P started making his own. haha. it was really funny. I took a picture of it but I probably dont want that picture hitting the internet.
lounging on beach chairs that didnt belong to us
family beach shot. I was almost 30 weeks pregnant.
he seriously was so content just playing in the sand. but it was super nice sand!
we met up with our neighbors and went to dinner at fudpuckers. P was puttin on a show for us
playing with alligators P got at fudpuckers the night before.
drews skimboarding skills have improved since he first tried it in August in cali
collecting seashells
the sand went a little weird this day and ended up making kind of a long puddle, not ideal for skimboarding for the guys, but the kids loved it. P would just run and run in it

Parker getting buried with Lydia and Carson
P flew a kite for the first time too.

the trip was fun. I can definitely see why so many dental students go down every spring break. Im glad we went. it gave me a better opinion of the beach/ocean as opposed to when we went in August in Cali.

"mom I floss my teeth"
his hair was getting so long I could totally give him a ponytail. he actually liked it. he'd pull it out but kept asking for another one.

just tryin out the goods costco has to offer.
we ordered our double stroller. P loves it and all his different riding options.
silly kid had to try all the apples
allergies or a cold or sinuses or something hit me hard last sunday. and I've felt like crap most of the time since. luckily P behaved Monday when I really was feeling it. he just did this most of the day.
I felt bad keeping P inside for 2 days when the weather was so nice so we went out for a little bit to play. he found an empty folgers container and was using it to collect rocks.

February

I made my first purchase for cove, the "whole caboodle" from  Carseat Canopy. After I got it all installed on the carseat P found it quite comfy and hung out for a while in it.
winner for dinner? chocolate pudding and goggles.
we ran in to Buzz at the YMCA
He looks like he could be sick, I dont remember, but my belly is like a cuddle magnet for this kid.
what did P want to eat out of ALL the food in the house, well a container of peanut butter of course.
grandma's latest creation for Parker. this was his valentines days present. she made it out of more of a jersey like material. he loves it. and seriously would cry to take it off and would always ask to wear his "basketball shirt" he even accessorized it with his matching red shoes.
ready to go check out some books from the library.
finally had a not so freezing day so we met up with Cassie and Paisley at the zoo.
We stopped at the park on the way home from the gym one day during the "nice weather" while swinging parker said to me "Mommy text all my friends on your phone to come play at the park." then he listed all the names of people he wanted me to text. Daddy and Baby Cove made the list too
playing outside for 3 days trying to get in all the nice weather we could stirred up some allergies for poor little P
We got a package from Drews mom but since our mail lady was on vacation the sub kind of screwed things up. after scheduling and rescheduling to have it delivered and 2 trips to the post office we finally found it. P really liked playing with the PO boxes. I think he'd like to have his very own. He was trying to get my keys inside the lock. he kept saying "c'mon key! c'mon!"
some of the contents of the package. new swim trunks and a sun hat (we're guessing for Cove because it sure didnt fit P's huge noggin)
one morning I was decided I'd get up and get ready for P. I was sitting in our room with the door closed putting on some make up when I start feeling this cold draft. I open the door from our room and its freezing in the hall! like the tile is ice! I continue to walk out and our front door is WIDE open! Drew has a problem of not pulling the door closed tight when he leaves in the morning at 7:15. so if the wind blows, it blows the door open. well that appeared to be the case that morning. the bottom door was still locked. so who knows how long it was open. I discovered it almost 2 hours after Drew left. as you can see, it sure cooled off our apartment. the heater was working over time and was baking us in the bedrooms. took a couple hours to get it up to normal temp
some friends invited us to go to All About Kids one friday. Its a gymnastics gym that has "open gym" time where kids can try out all the fun stuff. that only lasts an hour. but for a couple hours before and an hour after they have another area opened with blow up toys (bounce houses) a playground (like youd find in mcdonalds or something) and different ride on toys. needless to say P loved it! it got a little busy for awhile before open gym and he got a little over irritable. but we were seriously there for about 4 hours. a friend said her daughter only likes the play area for maybe 15-30 mins, yeah P played in it for 3 hours! we were one of the last people to leave. and it was only because I had to carry him out!
3rd trimester! me at 27 weeks.
I was making homemade pizza for dinner and P was helping me roll out some dough. of course he had to wear ear protection, it only makes sense. haha

January 2014

Still in Arizona
playing at Aunt Karens. He finally got brave enough to drive the truck and took some cousins out for a spin. he was a horrible driver so i had to stay close.
the last full day in Arizona we walked to the park. I dare say it was even hot that day. but nice to be outside.
P was a champ again on the flight home. He struggled with getting waking up but once he was awake he was fine. he laid on the floor again on the plane. i think he was getting sleepy
 Parker and the neverland pirates!
oh you know, just lookin cool with mom
first week back to church. he was ready to spit some game at the ladies
it snowed. I dont know who taught him but P was running around with his tongue hanging out trying to catch snowflakes.
P got 2 rubber band guns from uncle nate and aunt laura for christmas and he was just working on his skill before papa came over. it came with a little 3 flip target. Parker was actually hitting it almost every time.
He kind of still loves his baby swing. He'll even say in conversation, "comfy in a baby swing" sometimes at random some times when we ask about his comfort levels (bed, couch, floor, whatev)
working on his mad drumming skills

January 13: drew felt cove kick for the first time.

we had been trying to get Parker to eat for seriously like 2 hours. of course right as we're trying to put him to bed he decides its time to eat. thats like his classic stall tactic now.
oh you know, just enjoying some snow from the bench at the gym. he got sick later that week, i think we all know where he got it from.
P went to the dentist for the first time! I know we're behind. apparently it should be by their 1st birthday. yeah he was 2.5. he did really awesome. They asked him what kind of toothpaste he wanted and he picked chocolate. haha. he did really good with them cleaning his teeth and taking xrays. must be cause of his daddy. He has a little cross bite and will pretty much need a palate separater later on (drew and I both had one) but we really needed to kick his tongue sucking habit to help with it all. we go back in July for his 6 month check up

his blanky went "missing" in hopes he would stop sucking his thumb. it was a success with the thumb part (the blanket initiates the thumb sucking). the only problem was, he stopped napping. it wouldnt be as big of a deal except he went from 3 hour naps to nothing. I was NOT okay with that. so now he only sleeps with his blanket at nap time then the blanket gets put away. He gets so excited when he sees it though. "oh blanky! i love you." and hugs it dearly

we went down to my parents one weekend and poor little P had a cough so we had to bust out "Bubbles". here papa is helping him have a double breathing treatment, neutralizer and some back percussion. he actually really liked him patting on his back
this kid I swear, the things he says. "He'll sit right here and be okay. I'll cut him like a cake."
Parker loves to play in my parents office/craft room. this was his newest hiding spot.
my mother-in-law got me a sewing machine for christmas and decided it was time to break 'er in. for my first project I made a pouf for P. apparently its a big deal to sew on piping. I dont know, didnt seem that serious to me. but my mom also did ALL the pinning. I just sewed
tryin on papa's England Police badge
P was a horrible napper at my parents. like basically wouldnt take one. on the way him he wanted to hold the bread my mom had made us that day. no joke, like 5 minutes later he fell asleep. (he has his seat belt on, he just took the arm straps off, lap belt is still buckled)
I wanted to be cool and make a flannel board in hopes of being better at FHE. I just opted for covering a canvas with flannel. worked pretty well, when P wasnt laying on the project. but no, it didnt help me with FHE
